でも、それは新しい出来事や活動がなかったからではありません。
実は、あまりにもいろいろなことがあって、書く時間がなかったのです。
例えば、6月6日にはカオリさんが明治学院大学で話を行いました。
カオリさんは、会社の歴史、ミッション、そして哲学について話しました。
アンサーノックスは、多様性を大切にし、それぞれの個性を尊重しながら、誰もが自分らしく輝ける世界を目指している会社です。
授業が終わったら、学生たちはFeedbackを書いてくれました。
私はそのFeedbackシートに目をかける事ができましただから生徒たちに何が印象に残ったのかを知ます。
いくつか一緒に見てみましょうか？
A) 「1番印象に残った言葉は、「私が1日休んだら世界が良くなるのが1日遅くなる」というものでした。こんなにもポジティブに物事を進めようとしている人がいて尊敬します。また目標が世界平和なだけあるなと感心してしまいました。私は夢は大きければ大きいほど良いと思っていて、渡辺さんは笑われてもいいと言っていましたが、その人が真剣なのであれば笑うことはあまりして欲しくないなと思ってました。」
B) 「講義を受けて、「無意識の偏見」というフレーズが強く印象に残りました。たしかに私が抱く常識も、口に出せば、誰かを傷つけかねない酷い偏見だと感じます。加害者になりうることを自覚し、自らの考えを疑う機会になりました。また、DEI（多様性・公平性・包括性）にも共感しました。DEIは多文化共生においても、重要な理念だと感じます。」
C) 「できることではなく、やりたいと思うことを一緒にやる」というのはとても大事な考えだと思いました。私自身自分の枠に囚われ、関わる人を決めたり、諦めたりした経験があります。今思うとそれはとてももったいないことで、自分の可能性を自分で潰してしまっているのだなと気付かされました。」
生徒たちはカオリさんの励ましの言葉に感動したようです。
普通、大学の授業を参加思うに、スピーカーが「世界平和」についての理想を語るとは思わないでしょう。
でも、それがカオリさんのスタイル。
カオリさんは、不平等な社会の現状を示す具体的なデータから話を始め、
「自分の心の枠を超える」というような言葉で締めくくります方です。
私たちが住んでいる社会をよく知りながら、それに落胆しない人です。
自分の「無意識の偏見」初めて実現に気づいた人もいました。
そしてそのトピックのお陰でとても感動されたみたい。

これらは、多様性の推進に携わる人々の間でよく話題になる概念ですが、一般大衆の間ではほとんど議論されていません。
カオリさんはこれらの概念を推進する上で重要な仕事をしています。
明治学院の学生たちのFeedbackシートは、人がたとえ意図していなくても、自分たちも「問題の一部で」あると気づいた瞬間を示しています。
学生たちはこのことに気づいてとても感動したようでした。
この気持ちが、生徒たちの中に「変化の一部」になりたいという欲求を呼び起こしてくれることを願っています。

Hi, this is Clara from Answer Knocks.
It’s been a while since I last posted, but that’s not because there haven’t been any new events or activities, quite the opossite… The truth is, there’s just been so much going on that I haven’t had time to write.
For example, on June 6th, Kaori gave a talk at Meiji Gakuin University where she talked about the company’s history, mission, and philosophy.
Answer Knocks is a company that values diversity, respects each individuality, and strives to create a world where everyone can shine as themselves.
After class, the students took the time to write some feedback and point out the topics that left a lasting impression on them.
And I got the chance to take this feedback sheets into my hands and see what topics they pointed out. Shall we take a look at some of them together?
A) The quote that made the biggest impression on me was, ‘If I take a day off, the world that I want to see will take one day longer to become a reality.’ I respect someone who is trying to move things forward with such a positive attitude. I was also impressed that their goal is world peace. I believe the bigger the dream, the better. Ms. Watanabe said it’s okay to laugh at her goals, but if someone is serious about it, I don’t think it is a laughing matter.
B) The phrase ‘unconscious bias’ made a strong impression on me. Indeed, I feel that even the common sense I hold could be the product of terrible prejudice that could hurt someone if spoken out loud. It was an opportunity to realize that I could be a perpetrator and to question my own thinking. I also sympathized with DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). I feel that DEI is an important principle in multicultural coexistence.
C) I thought the idea of ’ not doing what you “can” do, but getting together in order to do what you want to do,’ was a very important concept. I myself have been trapped in my own box and have had experiences where I gave up on people to associate with. Looking back, I realize that this was a waste and that I was stifling my own potential.
The students seemed moved by Kaori’s encouraging words.
I think people wouldn’t normally expect the speaker at a University lecture to talk about ideals like “world peace”, but that’s Kaori’s style.
Kaori begins her talk with concrete data showing the current state of inequality,
and concludes it with words like “go beyond your own mental boundaries.”
She is someone who is well aware of the society we live in, but doesn’t get discouraged by it.
Some participants realized their own “unconscious biases” for the first time and they seemed very moved by the topic.

These are concepts often discussed among those involved in promoting diversity, but are rarely discussed among the general public, so I think Kaori is doing important work in by spreading these concepts.
Among Meiji Gakuin students’ texts some people discussed about the moment when they realized they were “part of the problem,” even if they didn’t intend to and how moved they were by this realization.
I hope this feeling will inspire them to want to be “part of the change.”

Olá, aqui é a Clara, da Answer Knocks.
Faz um tempo desde a minha última publicação, mas não é porque não aconteceu nada, muito pelo contrário…
A verdade é que tem tanta coisa acontecendo que não tive tempo para escrever.
Por exemplo, no dia 6 de junho, Kaori deu uma palestra na Universidade Meiji Gakuin, onde falou sobre a história, a missão e a filosofia da empresa.
A Answer Knocks é uma empresa que valoriza a diversidade, respeita a individualidade de cada um e se esforça para criar um mundo onde todos possam brilhar como são.
Após a aula, os alunos reservaram um tempo para escrever alguns feedbacks e apontar os tópicos que os impressionaram.
E eu tive a oportunidade de pegar essas folhas de feedback e ver quais tópicos eles apontaram, vamos dar uma olhada em alguns deles juntos?
A) A citação que mais me impressionou foi: “Se eu tirar um dia de folga, o mundo que eu quero ver levará um dia a mais para se tornar realidade”. Respeito alguém que tenta levar as coisas adiante com uma atitude tão positiva. Também fiquei impressionado com o fato de seu objetivo ser a paz mundial. Acredito que quanto maior o sonho, melhor. A Sra. Watanabe disse que não há problema em rir de seus objetivos, mas se alguém leva isso a sério, não acho que seja motivo de riso.
B) A expressão “viés inconsciente” me impressionou profundamente. De fato, sinto que até senso comum que eu carrego pode ser produto de um preconceito terrível que pode machucar alguém se for expresso em voz alta. Foi uma oportunidade de perceber que eu poderia ser um perpetrador e questionar meu próprio pensamento. Também simpatizei com a ideia de DEI (Diversidade, Equidade e Inclusão). Acredito que a DEI é um princípio importante na coexistência multicultural.
C) Eu achei que a ideia de ‘não fazer o que você “pode” fazer, mas fazer o que você “quer” em comunidade’, foi um conceito muito importante. Eu mesma já fiquei presa na minha própria caixa e passei por experiências onde desisti por ter que me relacionar com pessoas. Olhando para trás, percebo que isso foi um desperdício e que eu estava sufocando meu próprio potencial.
Os alunos pareceram comovidos com as palavras motivacionais da Kaori.
Acho que as pessoas normalmente não esperaram que um palestrante numa aula universitária fale sobre ideais como “paz mundial”, mas esse é o estilo da Kaori.
Ela começa sua palestra com dados concretos que mostram o estado atual da desigualdade
e a conclui com palavras como “vá além dos seus próprios limites mentais”.
Ela é alguém que tem plena consciência da sociedade em que vivemos, mas não se abala por ela.
Alguns participantes perceberam seus próprios “vieses inconscientes” pela primeira vez e pareceram muito comovidos com o tema.

Entre os textos dos alunos da Meiji Gakuin, vários comentaram sobre o momento em que perceberam que eram “parte do problema”, mesmo sem querer, e como ficaram comovidos com essa percepção.
