すでに多くの方がタグ付けして投稿してくださっていて、ありがたく拝見していますが、私もあの日のことを自分の言葉で、私自身の体験として書き残しておきたいと思い、この投稿を綴りました。
つい先日、大阪・夢洲の万博会場にある「ウーマンズ パビリオン in collaboration with Cartier」にて、登壇の機会をいただきました。
このパビリオンは、内閣府などと共同で出展されており、性別にかかわらず誰もが差別なく社会に参画できるジェンダー平等の実現を目指す、非常に意義深い空間です。
そんな場でお話しできたことは、私にとって大きな喜びであり、心に残る経験となりました。
登壇したのは、全国女性社長の共創防災会議が主催する
「対話がつなぐ、命と未来 ～女性リーダーと共に創る防災の共助～」の第2部
「日本在住の外国人に対する安全確保の準備」というパネルディスカッション。
私は防災の専門家ではありませんが、だからこそ、「素人であっても自分ごととして捉えることの大切さ」についてお話ししました。
災害は必ずしも自宅や職場など、慣れた場所で起きるとは限りません。
日本人も外国人も関係なく、いざというときにともに助け合える社会であるために、日頃から意識を持つことが大切だというメッセージをお伝えしました。
会場はチケット完売・満席。プレス席まで開放されるほどの関心の高さに、身が引き締まる思いでした。
当日は関係者パスをいただき、控室までご用意いただきました。
登壇者用のお手洗いにはディプティックのハンドウォッシュやクリーム、パフュームまで揃っていて、空間の隅々にまでカルティエの美意識とおもてなしの心が行き届いていました。
パビリオンで働かれている方々もとても洗練されていて、一部の方は実際にカルティエの店舗スタッフが期間中対応されているのだそうです。
セッション後には展示も拝見し、空間全体に込められたメッセージが胸に迫りました。
「私にできることを、この手で実行していかなければ」
そんな思いを新たにした時間でもありました。
そして何より、ご一緒した皆さん、今回のイベントを通じて新たにご縁がつながった多くの方々に、心から感謝申し上げます。
また、会場に応援に駆けつけてくれた大切な友人たちの存在にも、深く励まされました。ありがとうございました。

Reflections on Speaking at Expo 2025 Osaka
Many friends have already tagged and shared their posts about the event, and I’ve enjoyed reading each one.
But today, I wanted to share my own experience,in my own words.
Just a few days ago, I had the honor of speaking at the Women’s Pavilion in collaboration with Cartier, located at the Expo 2025 site in Yumeshima, Osaka.
This pavilion, jointly presented with the Cabinet Office and others, promotes gender equality and envisions a society where all individuals, regardless of gender, can participate without discrimination.
It was a meaningful space, and being able to speak there was both a joy and a deeply personal experience for me.
I participated in a panel discussion titled:
“Preparing to Ensure the Safety of Foreign Residents in Japan: What Should Be in Place Before Disaster Strikes?”
This was the second session of the program
“Dialogue for Life and the Future: Building Mutual Support for Disaster Preparedness with Women Leaders,” hosted by the National Conference of Female CEOs for Co-creation in Disaster Prevention.
I’m not a disaster prevention expert, and precisely because of that, I spoke about the importance of everyone, including non-experts, seeing disaster preparedness as a personal responsibility.
Disasters don’t always strike when we are at home or in familiar places. That’s why we must build a society where Japanese and non-Japanese alike can support one another when it matters most.
The venue was packed, with all tickets sold out and even the press seats opened to the public due to high demand. The level of engagement and interest was truly encouraging.
On the day of the event, I received a special guest pass and was shown to a beautiful backstage room.
In the speakers’ restroom, there were Diptyque hand wash, hand cream, and perfume—every detail reflecting Cartier’s thoughtful aesthetic and hospitality.
The pavilion staff were also elegant and composed. I later learned that some of them were Cartier boutique staff volunteering during the Expo, which came as no surprise.
After the session, I toured the pavilion itself. The message and design of the space left a strong impression on me.
I came away thinking: “I need to act. With my own hands, I want to help change the world.”
Above all, I am deeply grateful to the people I shared the stage with and to all the new connections that blossomed through this event.
And to the dear friends who came to the venue to support me: thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Reflexões sobre minha participação na Expo 2025 Osaka
Muitas pessoas queridas já me marcaram e ao compartilhar suas postagens sobre o evento e tenho lido tudo com muito carinho.
Mas hoje, gostaria de contar com minhas próprias palavras o que vivi naquele dia.
Há poucos dias, tive a honra de palestrar no Pavilhão das Mulheres em colaboração com a Cartier, localizado na Expo 2025 em Yumeshima, Osaka.
Este pavilhão, desenvolvido em parceria com o Gabinete do Governo do Japão e outras instituições, promove a igualdade de gênero e defende uma sociedade onde todas as pessoas, independentemente de seu gênero, possam participar sem sofrer discriminação.
Poder falar num espaço tão significativo foi uma grande alegria e uma experiência profundamente marcante para mim.
Participei de uma mesa de discussão com o tema:
“Preparação para garantir a segurança de estrangeiros residentes no Japão – O que deve ser feito antes que um desastre aconteça?”
Essa foi a segunda sessão do programa
“O diálogo que conecta vida e futuro – Criando cooperação mútua para prevenção de desastres com líderes mulheres,” promovido pela Conferência Nacional de Mulheres Presidentes para a Co-criação na Prevenção de Desastres.
Não sou especialista em desastres, e talvez por isso mesmo possa falar sobre a importância de pessoas comuns também assumirem a responsabilidade de enxergar a prevenção como algo pessoal.
Desastres não escolhem hora nem lugar. É essencial que japoneses e estrangeiros possam se apoiar mutuamente em momentos críticos.
O auditório estava lotado: todos os ingressos esgotados, e até os assentos reservados à imprensa foram abertos ao público devido à alta demanda. Foi emocionante ver o engajamento das pessoas.
No dia do evento, recebi um passe especial e fui encaminhada a um camarim impecável.
No lavabo dos palestrantes havia sabonete líquido, creme para as mãos e até perfume da Diptyque; Detalhes que expressam o bom gosto e a delicadeza da Cartier em cada canto.
Os funcionários do pavilhão eram elegantes e acolhedores. Descobri depois que alguns deles eram, na verdade, colaboradores das boutiques da Cartier que estão ajudando na Expo, e tudo fez muito mais sentido.
Após a sessão, visitei o pavilhão e fiquei profundamente tocada com a mensagem e a atmosfera do espaço.
Saí de lá pensando: “Preciso agir. Quero ajudar a transformar o mundo com as minhas próprias mãos.”
Acima de tudo, sou muito grata às pessoas com quem compartilhei o palco e a todas as novas conexões que surgiram a partir deste evento.
